"Sergey Brin"... sounds familiar??? "Larry Page"... sounds even more familiar???.. Yes, you have guessed it right... I'm talking about Google.. I can say it as the most influential company of modern era... The company has coined a new english word "google" to the english dictionary.. You can say "google" is the synonym of "search".Almost all netizens use google on everyday basis... At the age of 35, the cofounders (Sergey and Larry) are billionaires.. Have you ever thought how the company generates money?? No company can make this huge amount of money in such a short span of time by simply selling a product... When they started the company back in 1998, they had only one product with them i.e google web site... They knew that their product is solid and robust... So, they came up with a new idea for their revenue model... called "sponsored link".. Let me take this opportunity to say something about "sponsored link"... But before proceeding, wish all of you a very happy Diwali...
Sponsored Link
Google also generates its revenue through ads only... but in a different way.. You'll not find any banner ad in google's site.. it is against their rule... instead they give the ads through sponsored link...Let us understand what a sponsored link is all about.. Suppose you own an Indian restaurant (for your business) and you want to give its ad through Google.. and the speciality of your restaurant is fish curry. You want to highlight this part for your restaurant... Then make your key word as "fish curry" and give it to google. So, anyone who will search with the key word "fish curry" in google, your sponsored link will be displayed in the sponsored link area of google page... if the searching guy clicks on the sponsored link (it will redirect the page to your actual ad) then only you need to pay for your ad.. Before that point you need not pay anything to google... So, this marketing strategy is win - win situation for both google and the customer... So, the funda is that, if anyone visits your ad then only you need to pay the money... this is not like the banner ad... that whether anyone sees your ad or not you need to pay the money...
Bottom line... always think and act for the betterment of the customer.. If customer is happy then the service provider will be happier...

Here goes a famous quote very rightly said , “Often the difference between a successful person and a failure is not one has better abilities or ideas,
but the courage that one has to
bet on one's ideas, to take a calculated risk - and to act.” And this is what the pioneers of Google did by making Google simple, fast, easy and user friendly.
Since Google embodies within it the mastery of simplicity,i.e creativity and even
the mastery of complexity,i.e technical skill ,so they stand for where they are today.
“Creativity is not the finding of a thing, but the making something out of it after it is found”.So, in the long run Google has succeeded but nobody knows there might be new breeds in creation to sweep the market ,may be a "new" player or Google itself.Time will speak of it.Just wait and watch since technology is vast and ideas have no limits...
Cheers,
Annie.
