Kudos to the Indian voters...

Yesterday was a memorable day for India as all the politicians have spoken in one voice against terror in the parliament.. This is a great move from our politicians.. again all the credit goes to our voters not the politicians.. How?? Let's find out..
In the recent state assembly election, the verdict was very clear from the voters.. The message is clear to all the politicians.. i.e if you are here to do developmental work then stay otherwise get lost.. and it all happened at the right time..
This is a good lesson for BJP. BJP was trying to politicize the terrorism issue and their election agenda was terrorism.. However, the voters of India have outrightly rejected this kind of campaign.. I think the outcome of Delhi assembly election was the eye opener for BJP. Ms. Sheila Dikshit made it for the 3rd consecutive term... and this is not a joke.. Because the assembly election was held in Delhi right after the Mumbai terror attack and the very next day BJP tried to exploit the situation by campaigning against terrorism.. however, voters have rejected this kind of campaign and voted Ms. Sheila Dikshit for her good work.. Kudos to the Delhi voters...
BJP learnt very quickly from the mistake and immediately changed its tone to work together (with UPA) to tackle the terrorism.. Today all the politicians are speaking in one voice against terrorism only because of the outcome of Delhi state assembly election.
If we'll analyze the recent past state assembly elections, we'll understand that people have voted for good work and not for good words... It all started from Mr. Narendra Modi's hat trick...

Bottom line: If the citizen (voters) of India are sensible then politicians can't escape.. they are bound to do the developmental work...
Now the Lok Sabha election is coming and let us teach all our politicians by giving a good verdict..

Thanks,
Srimaya Rath

Chase your passion...

Do you have some passion that you always wanted to do since your childhood??? Yes, I know we all have.. but we don't dare to chase it.. Because in India, we think only doctors and engineers are well respected in the society.. Hence, at any cost we have to become either a doctor or an engineer... Therefore, if you want to become a sports person or a singer or a dancer or a writer etc.. it's not allowed.. So, you sacrifice your area of interest and succumb to the pressure from society and put all your effort to become what your society want you to become.. Ok.. Now you have lived all most half of your life.. and somewhat successful (in career) by seeing your current stature..Your half of the life has gone by... in fulfilling other's wishes and their dreams.. Suddenly you realize that you have never lived for yourself.. I think this is the best time to invest on yourself... to chase your own passion.. to do something that you always wanted to do... I know we all are living a r...

A way to give back...

Giving back to the society??? This sentence sounds a bit odd.. Yes, because we always believe in taking from the society... and we have taken it for granted that we'll always take from the society... Since our arrival to this beautiful world, we have taken almost everything from the society... It may be good education, good job or a safe and healthy society... and we assume that building a good society is the responsibility of Govt... Yes, you are right.. however, our country is a developing country.. not a developed country... Govt is doing its work at its pace... and since our country is one of the most populous country in the world, a lot of unprivileged people are there in the society.. unfortunately they are deprived from everything... they also don't get their basic school education... That's why the role of privileged people become very vital... Under current scenario, all the privileged people should raise their hand to support the unprivileged people.. We may argue...

President Obama.. the hope..

Today (Jan 20, 2009) Barack "the hope" Obama took oath as the 44th president of USA. Well, it's a memorable day in US history. It's a very special day for the Americans as well as the rest of world.. The dream of Martin Luther King Jr. (Speech: I've a dream..) has become a reality today.. It's incredible to see how a common man can move the entire nation with great hope.. I'm very fortunate to be in US during this period to catch all these actions... Today the entire world witnessed the meaning of a great democracy.. Everyone was amazed to see the smooth transitioning of power with great respect for each other.. Also it was great to see that Ms. Mitchelle Obama presenting a gift to Ms. Laura Bush in the farewell ceremony.. And at the end it was thrilling to watch the inaugural ball (ball dance) of Barack and Mitchelle Obama.. It's a great tradition.. After following the entire day (US Presidential inauguration), I must say we have a lot to learn from A...
