The WINTER CARNIVAL..

Saint Paul is the capital city of the state Minnesota.. Winter lasts for almost 8 to 9 months in a year at St. Paul and this city is one of the coldest places in the United States.. Long ago, people described this city as "Another Siberia" and it's unfit for human habitation during winter.. However, the people of Saint Paul took it as a challenge and they started adapting to the cold conditions and even tried to enjoy the white, snowy, icy winter.. To escape the gloominess of the winter, people started with different winter sports and other snow-filled activities and finally it all took over as the idea of a CARNIVAL, i.e, THE WINTER CARNIVAL... Every year the people await the month of January in order to celebrate WINTER CARNIVAL.. Now the WINTER CARNIVAL has become a tradition and
Minnesotans have been celebrating it for past 123 years.. Amazing...

We all know about the sand sculpture artist Mr. Sudarshan Pattanik.. Today I was amazed to see the snow sculptures and ice sculptures at St. Paul, Minnesota... It was fantastic.. The frigid temperature of minus 20 degree centigrade did not let down the spirit of this snow and ice sculptors to carve magnificent figurines.. The die hard spirit of the sculptors was impressive..

The WINTER CARNIVAL organizes "Snow Carving" and "Ice Carving" competition along with many fun filled activities.. People from St. Paul participate in the competition and at the end the winners are awarded.. The snow carving and ice carving competitions are held at different locations of the city.. The WINTER CARNIVAL has some prime sponsors like 3M, Wells Fargo, WALMART etc..

It gives me immense pleasure and an astounding thought about the "God's frozen land", and the way people have adapted to the frozen climate..

President Obama.. the hope..

Today (Jan 20, 2009) Barack "the hope" Obama took oath as the 44th president of USA. Well, it's a memorable day in US history. It's a very special day for the Americans as well as the rest of world.. The dream of Martin Luther King Jr. (Speech: I've a dream..) has become a reality today.. It's incredible to see how a common man can move the entire nation with great hope.. I'm very fortunate to be in US during this period to catch all these actions... Today the entire world witnessed the meaning of a great democracy.. Everyone was amazed to see the smooth transitioning of power with great respect for each other.. Also it was great to see that Ms. Mitchelle Obama presenting a gift to Ms. Laura Bush in the farewell ceremony.. And at the end it was thrilling to watch the inaugural ball (ball dance) of Barack and Mitchelle Obama.. It's a great tradition.. After following the entire day (US Presidential inauguration), I must say we have a lot to learn from A...

A way to give back...

Giving back to the society??? This sentence sounds a bit odd.. Yes, because we always believe in taking from the society... and we have taken it for granted that we'll always take from the society... Since our arrival to this beautiful world, we have taken almost everything from the society... It may be good education, good job or a safe and healthy society... and we assume that building a good society is the responsibility of Govt... Yes, you are right.. however, our country is a developing country.. not a developed country... Govt is doing its work at its pace... and since our country is one of the most populous country in the world, a lot of unprivileged people are there in the society.. unfortunately they are deprived from everything... they also don't get their basic school education... That's why the role of privileged people become very vital... Under current scenario, all the privileged people should raise their hand to support the unprivileged people.. We may argue...

Google... the inspiration...

"Sergey Brin"... sounds familiar??? "Larry Page"... sounds even more familiar???.. Yes, you have guessed it right... I'm talking about Google.. I can say it as the most influential company of modern era... The company has coined a new english word "google" to the english dictionary.. You can say "google" is the synonym of "search".Almost all netizens use google on everyday basis... At the age of 35, the cofounders (Sergey and Larry) are billionaires.. Have you ever thought how the company generates money?? No company can make this huge amount of money in such a short span of time by simply selling a product... When they started the company back in 1998, they had only one product with them i.e google web site... They knew that their product is solid and robust... So, they came up with a new idea for their revenue model... called "sponsored link".. Let me take this opportunity to say something about "sponsored link...
