POOVAR Trip!

2018 Summer Vacation
1. Booked tickets from B'lore to Thiruvananthapuram -- Sleeper coach bus - KPN Travels
2. Bus journey was good -- Note: Preferably book upper berth and in the middle section of the bus
3. Started around 8 pm and reached around 9 am at Thiruvananthapuram -- Note: There is no dinner break during night journey.. hence have your dinner before you start your journey or you can pack some food to have it in bus
4. Got off from bus at Thiruvananthapuram and took Auto Rickshaw to reach Poovar Island -- It's 1 hour journey
5. Reached Poovar Club Mahindra (it was a Sunday) and after a quick shower, headed towards the restaurant for lunch
6. Whole day was spent well within Club Mahindra.. kids were glued to FUN ZONE and the elders were busy eating and playing cards (BREY Game)
7. Next day it was time for boat ride in the backwaters.. spent some good 2 hrs in the boat and also had a nice lunch in the floating restaurant (Saravana Bhavan veg meal -- as it was Monday)
8. Evening time was spent in FUN ZONE and had some delicious food.
9. Next day (Tuesday) was the check out day.. checked out by 12 noon and Club Mahindra gave us another nice room for the remainder of the day (as our bus was at night 8 pm.). Today again we took a boat ride to sea beach.. spent some good time in sea beach.. kids went for horse ride in the beach.
10. Club Mahindra arranged an Innova for us to reach Thiruvananthapuram and from there we boarded the bus for our journey back to Bangalore. Thank You!

Moditwa...

Which was unthinkable some years ago, today it's reality.. the "Moditwa" (read in hindi).. In the recent 4th Global Investors' Summit, the corporate heads of India have endorsed Mr. Narendra Modi to be the future PM of India.. A big statement from the corporate biggies.. Can we digest Mr. Modi as the PM of India?? Can the world digest this?? Let us analyze what this man is all about.. why so many intellectuals are endorsing Mr.Modi?? Mr. Modi means.. 1. Industrialization of the state and job opportunity for everyone.. 2. Modernization.. both in rural and urban areas.. 3. Corruption free state.. No nonsense in bureaucracy.. 4. Very strong against terrorism.. 5. Having a great vision for the state.. a vibrant Gujarat.. Having said all these good for Mr. Modi, no one can deny about the Godhra incident.. UHAULing.... in US...

In this blog let me share my experience of shifting home in America... You have to do the following activities for shifting your home... 1) Buy the card board boxes and pack your stuffs on your own... 2) Rent a truck to shift your stuff from one place to other and you have to drive that truck on your own. That truck is provided by a company called UHAUL. 3) Place all your stuffs inside the truck on your own. So, you have to carry your sofa, bed etc on your own. Therefore, you have to be a body builder to do all these activities. Remember, here there is no human labour to help you out. If you are hiring human labour then be ready to pay a hefty amount. 4) OK... All the stuffs are now packed and placed inside the truck. Now drive the truck on your own. 5) Reach the destination. 6) Unload all the stuffs.... Again on your own... 7) Return the truck to UHAUL (company) and pay the rental... 8) Your shifting is done... Cool..... That's how you have to live in USA. So, life is very easy he...
