Orissa voters' verdict nullified..

Though BJD has done exceptionally well both in State as well as Center election, still BJD was wrong in its strategy.. Again Orissa is not representing at center..

DMK was able to bargain very well with the UPA having won 18 lok sabha seats. BJD has got 14 lok sabha seats but now it's equivalent to zero since it's not part of the Govt. formation.. So, all the efforts from Orissa voters are nullified.. Mr. Naveen Pattnaik has done a blunder by not allying with a major party at center... Again Orissa will be deprived from Center aid for 5 more years.. When there is no presentation from Orissa at center, it's most unlikely that any major projects coming to Orissa in next 5 years..

In the 15th Lok Sabha election, Mr. Naveen Pattnaik relied on Third front and Orissa will pay a heavy price for the wrong calculation.. Mr. Pattnaik should have understood that Third front is the most fragile front and even if it comes to power then the Govt. will not last for more than 2 years (by analyzing the history of Govt. formation). So, BJD has to take a call now.. either it should ally with BJP or Congress. There is no point in wasting the verdict from Orissa's voters.. If BJD is not changing its strategy then Orissa's voters should look for national parties (Congress or BJP) for Lok Sabha election.. though BJD could be a good option for assembly election..

Thanks,
Srimaya Rath

Chase your passion...

Do you have some passion that you always wanted to do since your childhood??? Yes, I know we all have.. but we don't dare to chase it.. Because in India, we think only doctors and engineers are well respected in the society.. Hence, at any cost we have to become either a doctor or an engineer... Therefore, if you want to become a sports person or a singer or a dancer or a writer etc.. it's not allowed.. So, you sacrifice your area of interest and succumb to the pressure from society and put all your effort to become what your society want you to become.. Ok.. Now you have lived all most half of your life.. and somewhat successful (in career) by seeing your current stature..Your half of the life has gone by... in fulfilling other's wishes and their dreams.. Suddenly you realize that you have never lived for yourself.. I think this is the best time to invest on yourself... to chase your own passion.. to do something that you always wanted to do... I know we all are living a r...

A way to give back...

Giving back to the society??? This sentence sounds a bit odd.. Yes, because we always believe in taking from the society... and we have taken it for granted that we'll always take from the society... Since our arrival to this beautiful world, we have taken almost everything from the society... It may be good education, good job or a safe and healthy society... and we assume that building a good society is the responsibility of Govt... Yes, you are right.. however, our country is a developing country.. not a developed country... Govt is doing its work at its pace... and since our country is one of the most populous country in the world, a lot of unprivileged people are there in the society.. unfortunately they are deprived from everything... they also don't get their basic school education... That's why the role of privileged people become very vital... Under current scenario, all the privileged people should raise their hand to support the unprivileged people.. We may argue...

The dream of Martin Luther King Jr. (Speech: I've a dream..) has become a reality today.. It's incredible to see how a common man can move the entire nation with great hope.. I'm very fortunate to be in US during this period to catch all these actions... Today the entire world witnessed the meaning of a great democracy.. Everyone was amazed to see the smooth transitioning of power with great respect for each other.. Also it was great to see that Ms. Mitchelle Obama presenting a gift to Ms. Laura Bush in the farewell ceremony..
