Online Voting System..

There has been a complaint against the educated mass of India that they don't go for voting... Yes, this is true.. There are number of reasons for this.. (like lack of good candidates in politics etc.). However, one more reason is that how will they cast their vote? Let us elaborate on this point.. Now, this is the era of globalization... People are working across globe.. The young and educated mass of India are fortunate enough to get jobs in different places of India.. So, it's not feasible for a person (who is working in different state or country) to be present in his ward to cast vote on the voting day.. Hmmm.. so, what's the solution?? Immediately, I can think of "Online Voting System" . These days we are doing most of our activities (like banking, credit card payment, electricity bill payment etc.) through internet and it's proven that transactions done through internet is secure and safe.. I can not understand why "Online Voting System" is no

Kudos to the Indian voters...

Yesterday was a memorable day for India as all the politicians have spoken in one voice against terror in the parliament.. This is a great move from our politicians.. again all the credit goes to our voters not the politicians.. How?? Let's find out.. In the recent state assembly election, the verdict was very clear from the voters.. The message is clear to all the politicians.. i.e if you are here to do developmental work then stay otherwise get lost.. and it all happened at the right time.. This is a good lesson for BJP. BJP was trying to politicize the terrorism issue and their election agenda was terrorism.. However, the voters of India have outrightly rejected this kind of campaign.. I think the outcome of Delhi assembly election was the eye opener for BJP. Ms. Sheila Dikshit made it for the 3rd consecutive term... and this is not a joke.. Because the assembly election was held in Delhi right after the Mumbai terror attack and the very next day BJP tried to exploit the situati

Assess the work of our politicians...

Let me start this blog by first saluting our brave and committed journalists.. In the aftermath of 26/11 attack, we are honouring everyone like the NSG commandos, Army, Fire men, Mumbai police etc... also we are chanting the spirit of Mumbai etc.. All the good words for everyone but not a single word for our journalists... This is unfair.. My dear journalist brothers and sisters, let me take this opportunity to say a big thank you for doing a commendable job.. you guys are representing the voice of India and we can hear the voice as very loud and clear.. Keep it up... We'll do our best to support you guys.. For the first time in Indian History we witnessed such a large number of people came on the street to show their anger against the politicians and that too in a non violence way.. This is what really expected from each and every Indian.. The politicians are under immense pressure to deliver... I can see something happening in the near future... So, now we got our mantra how to m

Solution to tackle terrorism...

"Ab bhi jiska khoon na khaulla, khoon nahin woh pani hai, Jo desh ke kaam na aaye, woh bekar jawani hai" In this blog let us discuss about terrorism in India and how to tackle it.. Let us not discuss about the problem.. everyone knows about it... let's give stress on the solution... Solution 1. A strong system in place to fight terrorism 2. Strong political will System to fight terrorism Our current system is not well equipped to tackle the 21st century terrorist attack.. Hence, a strong System has to be built to fight terrorism. So, what do we mean by strong system?? It means.. i) Intelligence system has to be very strong and they should use all modern equipments. ii) Modernization of policing and proper training to tackle terrorism. iii) Issuance of ID cards to each and every person in India. Political will i) Home minister is accountable for the law and order of the country... so, home minister should be held responsible for any life loss or property loss because of te

A way to give back...

Giving back to the society??? This sentence sounds a bit odd.. Yes, because we always believe in taking from the society... and we have taken it for granted that we'll always take from the society... Since our arrival to this beautiful world, we have taken almost everything from the society... It may be good education, good job or a safe and healthy society... and we assume that building a good society is the responsibility of Govt... Yes, you are right.. however, our country is a developing country.. not a developed country... Govt is doing its work at its pace... and since our country is one of the most populous country in the world, a lot of unprivileged people are there in the society.. unfortunately they are deprived from everything... they also don't get their basic school education... That's why the role of privileged people become very vital... Under current scenario, all the privileged people should raise their hand to support the unprivileged people.. We may argue

UHAULing.... in US...

In this blog let me share my experience of shifting home in America... You have to do the following activities for shifting your home... 1) Buy the card board boxes and pack your stuffs on your own... 2) Rent a truck to shift your stuff from one place to other and you have to drive that truck on your own. That truck is provided by a company called UHAUL. 3) Place all your stuffs inside the truck on your own. So, you have to carry your sofa, bed etc on your own. Therefore, you have to be a body builder to do all these activities. Remember, here there is no human labour to help you out. If you are hiring human labour then be ready to pay a hefty amount. 4) OK... All the stuffs are now packed and placed inside the truck. Now drive the truck on your own. 5) Reach the destination. 6) Unload all the stuffs.... Again on your own... 7) Return the truck to UHAUL (company) and pay the rental... 8) Your shifting is done... Cool..... That's how you have to live in USA. So, life is very easy he

Chase your passion...

Do you have some passion that you always wanted to do since your childhood??? Yes, I know we all have.. but we don't dare to chase it.. Because in India, we think only doctors and engineers are well respected in the society.. Hence, at any cost we have to become either a doctor or an engineer... Therefore, if you want to become a sports person or a singer or a dancer or a writer etc.. it's not allowed.. So, you sacrifice your area of interest and succumb to the pressure from society and put all your effort to become what your society want you to become.. Ok.. Now you have lived all most half of your life.. and somewhat successful (in career) by seeing your current stature..Your half of the life has gone by... in fulfilling other's wishes and their dreams.. Suddenly you realize that you have never lived for yourself.. I think this is the best time to invest on yourself... to chase your own passion.. to do something that you always wanted to do... I know we all are living a r

3 things... I learnt from America...

In this blog, let me share 3 things that I learnt from America.. 1. Transparent election process Please find out how it works in US: i) There are only two parties, namely, the Democratic party and the Republican party ii) Each party projects its presidential candidates and within the party whoever wins, he/she will contest for the presidential election with the opponent party's presidential candidate.. e.g Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, both are from Democratic party... Obama defeated Hillary to contest with McCain, who is from the Republican party. iii) Clear cut election agenda like foreign policy, health care plan, education plan etc... and it is publicly discussed via media.. iv) The presidential debates -- This is the best thing happening in US election..The presidential candidates have to go through 3 rounds of debates and it is telecasted live in TV.These debates go for 1 and half hour and they have to answer all the questions from moderator.. v) The presidential candidat

The analogy... Movie and Life...

Let me reiterate the famous dialogue from movie "Anand"... "Babu mahashyaa... jindagi aur maut upar wale ki haat hai.. jahan pana... use na aap badal sakte hain na main.. Ham sab to rang manch ke kath putliyan hai... jinki dor upar wale ki ungli main bandhi hai.. kab kaun kaise uthega ye koi nahin bata sakta hai... ha ha ha.." Wondering why I'm talking about this old dialogue?? Because this dialogue is not just a dialogue of a movie.. it is the very basic principle of our life... I strongly believe in the context of this dialogue.. that everything is controlled by the master.. We are just the actors... we have nothing much to do but just act as per our director's (God's) direction.. so, our job is to give a nice and solid performance in the movie (this life)... that's it... Let me elaborate my point.. The script has been written for the movie (our life)... who has written it?? Of course, God.. So, God is the script writer, producer and director of ou

"Jai Jawan, Jai Kissan, Jai Bigyan"..

"Jai Jawan, Jai Kissan"... we have grown up with this slogan.. The slogan was coined by our late prime minister Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri and it is very close to our heart.. "Jai Jawan, Jai Kissan, Jai Bigyan".. this is the new slogan pharased by our former prime minister Mr. A. B Vajpayee... with addition of the phrase "Jai Bigyan", this is the era to give respect to our scientists as well (in addition to our Jawans and our Kissans) ... Now a days, noone can deny the power of technology.. Because of science and technology, now the world has become flat... Since we are discussing about technology, let me take this opportunity to write something about Windows 7 .. yes, the new operating system from Microsoft.. After a horrible experience with Windows Vista (because of its slowness and heavy memory consumption), now the whole world is waiting for Windows 7's arrival... We may see Windows 7 in market by early 2010. But why the name Windows 7?? Because Vista

Google... the inspiration...

"Sergey Brin"... sounds familiar??? "Larry Page"... sounds even more familiar???.. Yes, you have guessed it right... I'm talking about Google.. I can say it as the most influential company of modern era... The company has coined a new english word "google" to the english dictionary.. You can say "google" is the synonym of "search".Almost all netizens use google on everyday basis... At the age of 35, the cofounders (Sergey and Larry) are billionaires.. Have you ever thought how the company generates money?? No company can make this huge amount of money in such a short span of time by simply selling a product... When they started the company back in 1998, they had only one product with them i.e google web site... They knew that their product is solid and robust... So, they came up with a new idea for their revenue model... called "sponsored link".. Let me take this opportunity to say something about "sponsored link"

The tricky way of doing journalism...

Do you want popularity in a short cut way?? Better ask Raj Thackray... He knows how to get it.. Now he is released from jail.. He must be sleeping very happily in his most comfortable air conditioned room.. thinking and uttering "buddhu janta (Fool people)"..Everything has worked as per his plan... His objective was to get the limelight ahead of election... So, he did his action by playing with sentiments of local marathis... did some vandalism in the name of Maharastra and Bihar.. and the rest he knew, the media will take care..(about his publicity) ..Now he has got it.. In no time now everyone in India knows his name.. Here, the journalism plays a vital role.. The news channel should not have highlighted him.. Because these netas knows how to get the attention of media.. Good journalism knows which news should be there in the front page and which news should be there in the middle page... Publish the news, but very tactfully.. (e.g you keep his news but with very small fon

Blogging... the next generation journalism...

Hi Everybody, Some days ago, we all witnessed a very dirty face of Orissa because of communal violence in Kandhamal... and the whole world saw it.. and Orissa has been criticised from all parts of world.. including the pope from Vatican.. From my point of view, "Orissa should not be subjected to such hate campaign for actions of a few miscreants". Because of these bad campaign, now a days our role (intellectual mass) has become very crucial for a better society. The problem with us is that though we know a lot of stuffs we don't share it. Though we can analyze so many stuffs but we don't express it. But unfortunately, the fundamentalists (though they are wrong in their thinking) express their opinion very openly and without fear. That's why the media and the people are listening to them. This is really bad. So, I think blogging is very crucial. Let us express our thoughts by writing blogs. We can blog in different news channel web site. I can see blogging as the n
