US - Work Culture..

My existence comes from a country of great culture from the EAST.. I am privileged to be a part of the most-civilized, culturally profound nation of the WEST.. The United States of America...This nation has the amalgamation of various cultures from far and wide... However, my search begins for an insight of the original American culture...

In this post, let us get an insight about the "Work Culture" of the Americans..

1. The Americans believe in early to bed and early to rise... They go to bed by 9.30 pm or max by 10.00 pm... Also, they wake up very early at around 5.00 am in the morning... So, they are at office by 7.30 am or 8.00 am in the morning...
2. Upon reaching office, they are glued to their seat and it's just WORK,WORK and WORK...
3. Noise is not at all encouraged during work hours..
4. Gathering in cubicle is not looked upon as healthy work culture...
5. The use of IMs (Instant Messaging) and phone is prevalent while working.. The job is done very quietly..
6. During work hours, hardly faces are seen gossiping or whiling their time at cafeteria...
7. Mostly, the lunch is being grabbed at the desk..
8. In a team lunch, people go on Dutch...
9. The work area is kept neat and tidy all the time..
10.Wash room etiquette: Spilling of water near wash basin is disliked.. Clean before you leave the place...
11. Frequently connecting and interacting with the same group of people is not encouraged...
12. Loitering in the corridor is an act of antipathy...
13. The only thing that gets recognized in work area is "Professionalism". Professionalism is the ground rule practised all the time and by everyone..
14. The Americans leave the office by 3.30 pm or 4.00 pm.

Overall, a hard working 8 hours is spent at office and the time spent in office is utilized to the most.. Americans really give their best at work.. This is the secret recipe of being the top nation...

Thanks,
Srimaya Rath

Rameswaram Trip - Har Har Mahadev! Trip Date: Nov 5th and 6th 2022 Distance from Bangalore: 611 km Time taken by road: 11 hrs Road: NH 44 and NH 87 - Road condition - Excellent Rameswaram is a town on Pamban Island, in the southeast Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It’s known for Shri Ramanathaswamy Temple, a Hindu pilgrimage site with ornate corridors, huge sculpted pillars and sacred water tanks. Devotees bathe in the waters of Agni Theertham, off the beach east of the temple.  Lord Ram and Maa Sita had consecrated the Jyotirling at Rameswaram after killing Ravan while returning back from Lanka. 22 Kund Snanam or Theerth Snanam: 22 Kund Snanam starts with Samudra Snanam at Agni Theertham . It is believed that the first kund/theertham lies submerged under the sea and hence the snanam ritual starts from taking a dip at  Agni Theertham . Agni Theertham is just walking distance away from the main temple. After the Samudra Snanam it was time for the 22 Kund Snanam. And all t...
